A Lyrical Night Of Binging

food at Nolita

I'm walking briskly. I'm already a few minutes late from our agreed meet-up. The traffic in C5 is partly to blame. But it's always traffic in C5, my mind would retort. I told my fussy mind to hush. I'm only just a few kilometers away to Bonifacio High Street Central. Karen texted me that she's already in Slice, that cozy bakery cafe beside Jamba Juice where the goodness of their Brown Rice Arroz Caldo still tattooed every so finely in my memory bank.

A Slice Of Good, Healthy Eating

arroz caldo & putanesca

It all started when Karen Anne called me late at night while I was hunched over my netbook inside my room, tapping soundlessly away on my keyboard as I compose the text for The Bread Bag post which I already published on my blog a few days ago. Since its her day off from work the following day and she really need a respite from her call center duties, she asked me if I could join her to go out somewhere. It will be my call on where we would go and where we would eat. I cannot confirm my availability right away since I'm also expecting to meet another friend of mine tomorrow to do some errands. But when I got a word from that friend of mine the morning after that our meet up was cancelled, I immediately informed Karen through Facebook chat that I'm free to join her. I've read a recent post a few days ago on Our Awesome Planet by Anton Diaz that Slice Cafe, owned by Senator Pia Cayetano, is already on soft opening in Bonifacio High Street Central. When I suggested this restaurant to Karen, including the resto's location and the political personality behind it, she immediately agreed without any qualms.

Good Food, Good Eats

at jamba juice

These are food places I really did enjoyed visiting that I would love to be back some time in the future.

Right after a delectable meal at Sweet Bella Cafe, I felt its still too early for me to go home just yet. So, I decided to look for a place to chill. I do have one place in mind as I set off from the cafe; and that's Jamba Juice. I did had a hard time, though, finding this chic fruit place. Not to mention a lot of perspiration sweating out of my skin as if I'm competing against the people who joined the marathon that took place on the night that I'm there at Bonifacio Global City. I even made some inquiries which proved to be futile. So, I checked the address of Jamba Juice through my phone's browser and decided to wait between 7th Avenue cor 29th Street. And, like an apparition, I saw two people emerging from a walled opening right across R.O.X, each clutching (and sipping) their own Jamba Juice sealed plastic cups.  Oftentimes you heard Oprah speaks about A-HA! Moments. I guessed I just had my own A-HA! moment when I saw those two young adults.
