'Tis The Season For Some Ice Cream

bingsu and churros at Cafe So Dam

This Holiday Season, a dessert cafe that offers icy sweets with a touch of whimsical and a Filipino-inspired ice cream treat prompted me to write anew.

Sarsa-rrific!

Was invited by a friend to try Sarsa. I couldn't pass it up. Been hearing a lot of good things with this restaurant and I was pretty excited to experience it firsthand.

Recent Eats

pizza and pasta at Cucina di Francesco

Since the weekend is fast approaching and many of us are raring to use this break to refuel from the toxic work week by indulging with some good food, here are some food places suggestions that you might be interested to check out.

Angel & Fire

cakes at Angel's Kitchen

I was in Greenhills one time scouting for a trade paperback of a Stephen King novel at a Fully Booked branch there when the siren song of my stomach grumbling made me decide to drop by Angel's Kitchen for a quick bite.

Ramen, Noodle Soup & Other Comforting Rainy Food

Bulalo Soup at Sabao (Oh, how I wish they re-open soon!)

Rainy season calls for something piping hot to slurp and savor. And here are some of the comforting food I do crave especially when the weather is dreary and cold.

Good Food, Good Friends, Good Memories

dulce de leche birthday cake

Recently turned a year older and I usually take this opportunity to meet up with friends as I share good food with them. Since I do equate good food and good friends with good memories.

My First Visit In Alabang

at Soil Restaurat

Travelling to the North is always a mettle, especially for me coming from an area bordering between Pasig and Cainta. When I muster enough courage to travel to Alabang, I deluge a friend of mine of questions on ways to get there. Thankfully, it proved to be an easy-breezy travel.

Places Of Good Eats In Antipolo

food at Chives

No one is more happier than I am to discover so many good restaurants to explore in Antipolo. I usually go to this side of Rizal to visit my relatives and cousins. But now I have another reason to be here: to prowl for the latest food find.

Prancing Around Blue Bay Walk and The Mall Of Asia

SM Mall Of Aisa

I could barely remember when I went to SM Mall Of Asia when I was a kid with some members of my family decades ago when MOA was still newly built. I could only remember how taxing it was traveling there and how disappointed I felt that the people I was with craved to eat fast food fare and when I suggested that we eat at Sbarro, they hesitantly agreed. When they told me that the food we ordered was horrible, it soured my mood exponentially. But it's true that the food we had that day was not not really good which I could only blame for wrong choice of orders. That's one of the setbacks that made me afraid of trying out new restaurants aside from the usual that I'm comfortable with back in the days. So when I went back here in the MOA/Pasay area, I'm bent to erase that displeasing experience from my memory.

Chicken, Waffles & So Much More

food at Catabolic Cafe

I won't deny, the name of this cafe is what lured me directly to it when I visited Catabolic Cafe in Teacher's Village recently. Though charming as the name may sound, it would still boils down to the food on offer. On my way here, I passed by this ultra famous cafe famed for it's Harry Potter inspired ambience (I bet you already know which cafe I'm referring to). I'm almost tempted to try this out instead if not for the ridiculous line and the seemingly impatient people that makes up the line that scared me away.

My Food Adventure At Aguirre Street

burger and chicken fingers at The Burgery

The idea of going to the South scares me. I think anyone would feel the same way especially if you're about to traverse an unfamiliar territory. But then again if you're like me you easily get tired going to the usual route of food places like Kapitolyo, Maginhawa and Lilac Street, the prospect of visiting an unknown place can be an enticing idea. Armed with guts and a few directional instructions from my friends, I set out to visit Aguirre Street in BF Homes.

What I Enjoyed Doing (And Eating) This Holiday Season

a Christmas drink & gingerbreak cookie from Starbucks

My prolonged absence in the blogosphere is truly unforgivable. Aside from a very tight schedule, it seems that each passing day I could only just accomplish little with the list of things that I wanted to do. But then again, you wouldn't really achieve anything if you really didn't sit right down on it and write. After all, delaying tactics will really not get you anywhere.

So I'll give you a summary of what kept me busy during the holidays. I'll try to be brief and hope you find it an interesting read, at least.
